Police have identified a man killed over the weekend in an auto-pedestrian crash in Beaumont as Michael Tyrone Motton, a 28-year-old resident of Beaumont. According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department, witnesses reported that at approximately 11 p.m.
One man was arrested in Orange on Sunday after a report that he was jumping in front of cars and disrupting traffic as he walked alongside North Highway 87.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to an overturned tanker truck on Interstate 10 eastbound near Brush Island Road (between Hamshire and Winnie, Texas). The tanker truck was loaded with pure ethanol, which is highly flammable, explosive and can cause respiratory difficulty. The tanker was involved in a one vehicle accident at approximately 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 2. The driver was transported to Baptist Hospital Beaumont.
