Cars, travel and sundresses in exotic prints are just a few of the luxuries former Triangle Area Network (TAN) executive director Peggy Lynn Gibson financed with the $312,000 she stole while heading the medical nonprofit in 2013 and 2014. Also among the “frivolous crap” Gibson said she used the money for were Christmas gifts, flapper gowns and concert tickets.

A second woman has now been indicted and arrested for what prosecutors say was her role in pilfering hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Triangle Area Network (TAN), formerly known as the Triangle AIDS Network, a nonprofit agency whose mission it is to provide healthcare to those who cannot afford it.
