A 36-year-old Mt. Vernon, Texas man, Charles Maull II, has been sentenced to prison for federal tax violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Joseph D. Brown today.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Maull, pleaded guilty on Feb. 21 to six counts of willfully aiding in the preparation and filing of a false income tax return and was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield. Maull was also ordered to pay restitution of $674,730.68 to the Internal Revenue Service.
