Fasten your seatbelts or be prepared to pay the consequences - like the citations you'll receive if fail to adhere to safety standards and follow the law.

Police in Vidor arrested 21-year-old Trevor Duane Edwards May 4 after the manager of a fast food establishment where Edwards once worked said the former employee snuck behind the counter and into the manager’s office, stealing a wad of cash and fleeing in spite of being spotted in the act.

A Vidor policeman was released from the hospital and is recovering from injuries after being struck by a motorist following the Vidor homecoming football game Friday night, Oct. 17.

About 10:28 p.m. Friday, Vidor Police officers were directing traffic at the intersection of South Main and Orange streets. Three officers were in the intersection, wearing reflective gear and using flashlights.

The City of Vidor continues its efforts to collect a decade's worth of outstanding fines owed to the city. This week, police are asking for assistance in locating the following persons owing more than $1000 in fines to the city:

1. Raymond Dale Jordan, W/M, Age 56, 3 traffic warrants totaling $1,133.00

2. Michael Allen Johnson, W/M, age 34, 4 traffic warrants totaling $1,033.00

3. Courtney Lynn Johnson, W/F, age 28, 3 traffic warrant totaling $1,108.00
