Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers responding to the SNS Grocery/Shell Station at 3145 Concord in reference subjects fighting on Oct. 1 couldn’t make it to the scene before dispatch further advised that the “fight” was of a most serious nature. The time was just before 3:30 a.m.

According to BPD, calls to the police indicated that a black male was on the ground bleeding from the head. Upon arrival, officers found a 22-year-old Conroe man that was transported to the hospital where he was listed as critical.

“Upon review of store surveillance video, several black males were observed assaulting the victim and striking him with guns,” BPD advised.

Oct. 4, BPD investigators secured nine aggravated assault warrants for suspects investigators identified. Bond was initially set at $250,000 for each.  In short succession, four suspects were taken into custody from the Pine Club Apartments. Other arrests ensured in the following days.

One suspect, 22-year-old Jamaal Petry, of Beaumont is in custody in Orange County for unrelated charges. Suspects taken into the custody of the Jefferson County Jail include: Carl Chopane, 22; Ellis Tatum, 33; Jalen Foxall, 22; Jameel Petry, 19, all of Beaumont and Dakyrian Beaty, 20, of Orange

Still at large listed in the original arrest warrants are: Tyree Simon, 17,  and Charles Johnson, 20, both of Beaumont

Cameron Guilbeaux, 21, an original suspect that was reported still at large, was cleared from any involvement and had the aggravated assault warrant rescinded earlier this week, according to BPD.

Two additional suspects were also arrested after being named as persons of interest. Deion Tyrell Brooks, a 27-year-old Beaumont man, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with bond set at $250,000. Michael Tyrone Williams III, a 26-year-old Beaumont man, was arrested for aggravated robbery, with bond set at $300,000.

Anyone with any information as to the location of the three at-large suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas at (409) 833-TIPS, 833TIPS.com or on the P3 TIPS app.
