It didn’t take long for the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) to finger – and cuff – two women who allegedly walked into Cindie’s on Eastex Freeway and stole 12 sets of lingerie valued at more than $400 on June 24.

BPD reported on June 30 that it took less than 5 minutes for the ID tips to come in on the two women that stole from Cindie’s and the case is moving forward.

Now, the department is hoping to strike success again in seeking to identify several suspects involved in various recent criminal activity.

June 30, BPD reported four individuals are persons of interest in recent ATM fraud where suspects were seen on video tampering with an ATM in Beaumont earlier the same month.

The criminal involvement of persons captured on camera “is uncertain” at this time, but BPD officers are trying to locate the persons to interview.

BPD is also seeking the public’s help in IDing a man who walked through the Ulta store in Parkdale Mall in May and toted out a Dyson Airwrap valued at more than $600 without paying. BPD reports that the suspect set the merchandise on the counter as if to pay for it.

“Once the cashier removed the security tag,” BPD reported, “he snatched the item and bolted out the door. He jumped into a gray Nissan Altima and sped off.”

BPD reported that removing the tag prevented the theft alarm from triggering when the suspect exited the store with the stolen goods.
