Thirty-five years after she was found dead at her home in Silsbee on July 28, 1988, Texas Department of Public Safety “Company A” Texas Rangers are seeking public assistance in solving 1988 Texas cold case death of 26-yearold Caroline Susan Bolen.

According to DPS, Bolen was found deceased by a friend at her home in Silsbee. An investigation conducted by the Silsbee Police Department and Texas Rangers elicited no viable leads – and none have been developed in the 30 years since.

The Texas Rangers Unsolved Crimes Investigation Program and Silsbee Police Departments Special Assign- ments Unit reopened the case in 2019, and are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation.
