Guns, cocaine found in warrant search

Oct. 10, the Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) Narcotics and Guns Unit executed a search warrant at 924 West 5th St. in reference to the possible discovery of crack cocaine.

Jacob Alpough was named as the target of the investigation and, when exacting the search warrant, detectives reportedly recovered two handguns and 2,300 grams of cocaine inside the residence. Alpough was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, more than 400 grams, and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
