Indicted: Sex crimes, assaults, drugs and theft

Jefferson County Grand Jury indictments list 27 charged with various felony crimes including robbery related to murder, sexual assault, burglary, and dangerous drug possession.

An indictment by the grand jury does not in any way indicate that the defendants named are guilty of the accused crimes, but indicates that sufficient evidence was presented in each case to merit a trial, according to the district attorney’s office.

Included in the indicted, a trio of Southeast Texans charged with sex crimes, including Nederland resident Wyatt Kaden Hammer, 18, who was indicted June 7 on two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 14 years of age, specifically a 12-year-old child. According to the probable cause affidavit for Hammer’s arrest, he met his alleged victim at Nederland ISD’s Alternative Campus, and coaxed said victim into the act away from campus.

In his statement to Nederland Police Department Detective Cody Perkins, Hammer reportedly admitted to the sexual assault.

Luis Juarez, 17, of Beaumont was indicted on June 7 on the charge of indecency with a child/sexual contact, a second-degree felony, accused of sexual contact with a 5-year-old. Donzavian Sam, 34, of Port Arthur, was indicted on a second-degree felony charge of indecency with a child/sexual contact and aggravated sexual assault with a child younger than 14, specifically an 11-year-old.

In addition to the alleged child sex crimes, the following individuals were indicted on drug related charges: Donovan Alexander, 33, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, possession of marijuana, between 4 ounces and 5 lbs.; Jerome Baines, Jr, 42, of Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 (PCP), between 1-4 grams and an additional charge for less than 1 gram of cocaine; Gerald Fredrick Coleman, 37, of Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 (cocaine), 1-4 grams; Christopher Ray Hall, 44, of Port Arthur, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B (cocaine), 4-200 grams; Tony Fitzgerald Jackson, 58, of Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 (methamphetamine), 1-4 grams; Dylan Isaiah Lewis, 26, of Nederland, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 (methamphetamine) 1-4 grams; Terrance T Moore, 34, of Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 (methamphetamine), between 4-200 grams; Jami Emerline Morrow, 43, of Midland, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, (methamphetamine) less than 1 gram; Megan Neely, 31, of Orange, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1 (fentanyl), less than 1 gram; Macie Lynn Nichols, 30, of Port Neches, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1-A (LSD), less than 20 units; and Terrell Dwayne Owens, 43, of Beaumont, possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B (cocaine), less than 1 gram.

The following individuals were indicted on injury related charges or those against officers: Seneca McDaniels, 43, of Beaumont, injury to a child/ elderly or disabled; Richard Thomas, 33, of Beaumont, assault of a public servant; and Melissa Wilson, 34, of Groves, harassment of public servant.

The following individuals were indicted on theft-related charges: Darrell Bowie, 35, of Beaumont, aggravated robbery; Josiah Kirk Charles, 17, evading arrest detention with vehicle, burglary of a building and unauthorized use of a vehicle; Joshua James Dominy, 38, of Vidor, forgery of a financial instrument; Henry George Green Jr, 45, of Port Arthur, theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions (2 times), evading arrest detention with previous conviction; Synjin Trent Millard, 31, of Beaumont, burglary of building (2 times), theft of property between $2,500 and $30,000; Rashard Taevon Wilson, 21, of Port Arthur, burglary of habitation; and Markeith Rashaad Morgan, 35, of Beaumont, robbery.

Additionally, Nikolas Brentshawn Foreman, 23, of Groves, was indicted for evading arrest detention with a vehicle; Riley Lee Holmes, 39, of Port Arthur, evading arrest detention with vehicle; Michael Lewis, 30, of Vidor, evading arrest detention with previous conviction; and Chestisha Royet MazeWiltz, 34, of Port Arthur, driving while intoxicated with a child under age 15.
