After the Port Arthur Police Department stepped in to assist in locating a child’s stolen Christmas present, the Grinch that absconded with the ill-gotten gift returned the loot – a puppy – to its rightful owners.

PAPD circulated a surveillance video of the puppy-nabbing, asking for the community’s assistance in locating the puppy thief that stole the resident children’s Christmas gift.

The puppy, a female Shih Tzu with curly black hair weighing about 13 pounds, was picked up on surveillance by a black female driving a green-colored Cadillac XTS.

Jan. 19, PAPD shared, “The stolen puppy was brought to the police station by the suspect and returned to her owners.”
