The Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported that two men and a woman were arrested on drug and firearm charges after a search warrant was executed Aug. 3 in the city’s downtown area.

BPD detectives, along with the SWAT, Special Assignment Unit and Narcotics Division, executed a search in the 1100 block of McFaddin about 7 a.m., following an investigation into narcotics being distributed from the residence to the surrounding community.

BPD reported that, once entry was made into the residence using SWAT Bearkat and other assets, three suspected were detained, and a search of the residence found synthetic marijuana, other evidence of narcotics trafficking and a handgun.

Jessie Duffek, 36, was arrested for possession of the handgun and arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Also arrested for warrants were 58 year-old Gregory Marshall, 58, and Briana Johnson, 28.

According to BPD, the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

“These search warrants are high speed/high stress operations that evolve and change every second,” stated BPD officials. “We are thankful that our welltrained officers completed the assignment safely while taking dangerous narcotics off of Beaumont’s streets.”
