Beaumont Community Players presents “9 to 5 – The Musical” on Sept. 15-16, Sept. 22-23 and Sept. 28-30. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sept. 23.
With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and original book by author Patricia Resnick, “9 to 5” is a hilarious musical comedy based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. This funny, yet dark, story of friendship and revenge is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. A jubilant score and easily relatable characters explore gender inequality in an unforgettable way.
Directed by Ashli Acevedo, the cast includes Krystal Sanchez, Alex Lewis, Caroline Badon Barnett, Patrick Anderson, Starr Lee-Alvarez, Ronald Hall, Rachel Isbell, Renee Celeste, Carrie Wilson, Tish Cornell, Andrew Gautrueax, Daniel Whitton, Ariana Alexander, Mattie Bergeron, Michael Nash, Eryn English, Kelly Morgan, Tim Foster, Joshua Fontenot, Jo Fuller, Virginia Johnson, Justice Morrow, Reese Meadows, Patricia Pierce and Karlye Ramos.
