Southeast Texas is about to go “boom” with two days of independent art during the Boomtown Film & Music Festival. Patrons will have chance to see dozens of films and meet the creators, experience live concerts and dramatic performances, plus learn from experts during interactive panel discussions. Special guests this year includes Orange-native and actress Dolores Cantu, who has been in more than 100 commercials, played J.R. Ewing’s secretary in “Dallas,” was one of Mr. Rourke’s beauties on “Fantasy Island,” and is known as the only woman to have beaten up John Travolta on screen in “Saturday Night Fever.” Tickets and schedule can be found at boomtownfestival.com.
