Chicken & Biscuits was written by Douglas Lyons and is a Texas premiere direct from Broadway. Can rivaling sisters Baneatta and Beverly bury their father without killing each other? The Jenkins family is coming together to celebrate the life of their father, but any hopes for a peaceful reunion unravel when a family secret shows up at the funeral. This play is not just a church service, but a portrait of Black joy, love, and laughter creating both a Hallelujah and an A-men. Directed by Julia Rodriguez, the cast includes, Ashley Guillory, TJ Scott, Lionyelle Malveaux, Lakhya Cottman, Joshua Fontenot, Johnathan Hankamer, Eryn English and Reese Meadows. Ensemble is Antoniette Kelly, Justice Morrow and Arianna Alexander. Rated PG-13 for language and themes.
