Classic Movie Night: Beauty and the Beast

The historic Jefferson Theatre will show the 1991 Disney film, “Beauty and the Beast.” Follow the adventures of Belle, a bright young woman who finds herself in the castle of a prince who’s been turned into a mysterious beast. With the help of the castle’s enchanted staff, Belle soon learns the most important lesson of all – that true beauty comes from within. It became the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. It also became Disney’s first animated film to be adapted into a Broadway musical. If that wasn’t enough to entice you, the event will feature a meet-and-greet with Belle from the Jack & Jill Storybook Co.
