A narcissistic TV weatherman (Bill Murray), along with his attractive-but-distant producer (Andie MacDowell), and his mawkish cameraman (Chris Elliott), is sent to report on Groundhog Day in the small town of Punxsutawney, where he finds himself repeating the same day over and over. Released in 1993, the film is considered one of the best films of the 1990s and one of the greatest comedies every made. In 2006, the U.S. Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry. The movie also inspired a musical in 2016 as well as a video game, “Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son.”
