The Art Museum of Southeast Texas Café Arts series will host “Jacqueline Bley Ryall: Abstract Connections” through April 28. The focus on her exhibition depicts the faces of humanity and focuses on her figural compositions. A local attorney, Ryall is inspired by family members, including her grandmother who was artistically inclined, and by acclaimed artists, Salvador Dalí, M.C. Escher and Jackson Pollock. She works primarily in acrylic on canvas, creating abstract and figural compositions. The works in this exhibition will focus on her figural compositions. An opening reception is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8.
