Classic Movie Night at the Jefferson

The Jefferson Theatre will play host a “Skywalker Saga” on Friday, June 9, as Classic Movie Night is set for the 1983 space film, “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” Tickets are $4 for kids, $6 for adults, and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or at the venue, evening of the show.

The sequel to 1977’s “Star Wars” and 1980’s “The Empire Strikes Back,” Luke Skywalker leads a mission to rescue his friend Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba the Hutt, while the Emperor seeks to destroy the Rebellion once and for all with a second dreaded Death Star.

It’s the third installment in the original “Star Wars” Trilogy, but the sixth chronological film in the “Skywalker Saga.” The movie stars Mark Hamill (Luke), Harrison Ford (Han), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Kenny Baker (R2-D2), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Frank Oz (Yoda).

The film is Rated PG and is 135 minutes.
