Dr. Amanda Adams, director of Research Coordination of Bat Conservation International (BCI), is slated to present a program from 7-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, at Logon Cafe and Pub, 3805 Calder Ave. in Beaumont.

BCI is an international nongovernmental organization working to con- serve bats and their habitats through conservation, education and research efforts. Since its establishment in 1982, BCI has formed strong partnerships and produced publications, workshops, scholarships, research and site-specific projects in the U.S. and internationally. The nonprofit employs a staff of 30 and has members in 60 countries.

Adams is currently conducting research in the Big Thicket National Preserve and is lodging in the Big Thicket Field Research Station and Learning Center in Saratoga, managed by the Big Thicket Association.
