Ford Park, OVG360, and Pepsi partnered to launch the “Ford Fields Next Generation” Scholarship Award, a new annual program to highlight local student-athletes who have grown their love for the sport of baseball or softball while competing at Ford Fields during their youth careers.
The opportunity was open to any Class of 2023 high school graduates and to apply candidates were asked to submit a full-page essay reflecting on their time spent playing at Ford Fields, what the experience has meant to them, and how it has helped shape them for the future. After many essays were submitted the staff at Ford Park chose Eli Quinn of Lumberton to receive the $1,000 scholarship. Quinn recently graduated from Lumberton High School and will be attending Texas A&M University.
