Two people, one seriously, were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Highway 105, near the 446-mile marker in Orange County on March 4, reported the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
DPS reported the preliminary investigation shows that around 12:20 p.m., a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling east, while a 2012 Honda Accord was traveling west, according to a DPS news release.
The driver of the 2007 Honda was traveling around a curve at an unsafe speed during rainy weather, causing them to lose control and drive into the oncoming lane, where he hit the 2012 Honda head-on.
The 2007 Honda driver was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries and the other driver was sent to Baptist Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
