Gunman assaults, robs Gulf gas attendant

Orange police are looking for two men who allegedly assaulted and robbed a Gulf gas station clerk at about 4 a.m. on Father’s Day.

On Sunday, June 19, officers arrived at the Gulf gas station at 333 N. Lutcher Dr. in reference to a robbery. When officers arrived, they made contact with the store clerk. Describing the beginning of the incident, she told officers that two black men entered the store at the same time. One of the men walked around where she was sitting and displayed a handgun.

She stated the man with the firearm hit her several times with the firearm and the other man began taking cash. The men then left the store in an unknown direction.

Orange police say the investigation is ongoing.
