Roccoco Club hosted their annual dinner and dance event last Saturday evening on the 8th Floor of Mary and John Gray Library at Lamar University. This year’s event was hosted by board members Kate and Will Thorne, Beth and Lowell Rogers, Stephanie and Eric Flatten, Dawn and Gene Isabell, Lauren and David Thieme, and Lindsay and Baylor Wortham. Reason for the season… Many gathered last Saturday evening at the Griffith Ranch for the annual GMJ Holiday Party as well as the celebration of bday gal Lori Ryerkerk. This fab event featured the impeccable sounds of Michael Cavanaugh, who is the star of the Broadway musical “Movin’ Out,” plus dance tunes from The Fuse along with libations and delish bites. In the mix were Carl Griffith, Becky and Rodney Ames, Karen and Bob Wortham, Nikki and Cliff Hancock, Cathy and Joe Majdalani, Shannon and Gary Saurage, Sheree and Vernon Pierce, Bishop David Toups, Kathy Thomas, Roxanne and Eric Hellberg, Christian Manuel Hayes, Allison and Mike Getz, Kelli and Qamar Arfeen, Fer and Luis Barrenechea, Miriam and Ricardo Anawate, Heather and Eddie Vileret Jr., Valerie and Stevie Toups, Pat Avery, Cathy Tran and so many others!
PYT’S Party… Pretty Young Things Ayna Parsons, Katie Baker, Ronda Harkey and Sara Norman recently hosted a Holiday White Elephant gathering in the home of JP Parsons. Ladies were treated to a beautiful Christmas theme of delectable goodies as they entered the gorgeous setting in the dining room. Lots of jokes and laughter were heard throughout the evening. Clearly having a blast were Sarah Frasher, Tiffany Neale, Beth Rogers, Meredith Omara, Hannah Bruce, Kate Thorne, Lindsay Wortham, Christina Crawford, Julia Matheney, Lauren Thieme, Kathryn Messina, Carla Townsend, Marianne Laine, Donean Surratt, Amanda Heirmnimus and Alicia Catherine. What a fun way to enjoy the season.
Congrats… to local boys Mark Petkovsek, Andrew Landry, Clarence Picou and Davy Arnaud who were inducted into Museum of the Gulf Coast.
Hooray… for Errol Cooney, son of Theresa Nelson and Kevin Cooney, who recently played guitar for Janet Jackson during her concert in New Orleans, Louisiana! Making our town proud!
