The Jefferson Theatre will show three movies in two days beginning Friday, June 30, with a double feature – “Jaws” and “Tremors.” Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $4 for kids, $6 for adults, and can be purchased online at ticket- master.com or at the venue, evening of the show.

Considered the first-ever summer blockbuster, “Jaws” was released in 1975 and stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss who chase an insatiable great white shark that terrorizes the townspeople of Amity Island. The film is Rated R and is 124 minutes. “Tremors” debuted in 1990 and stars

Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward and Reba McEntire. Natives of a small isolated town in Nevada defend themselves against strange underground creatures, which are killing them one by one.

The movie is Rated PG-13 and is 96 minutes

Named one of the greatest musicals of all time, “West Side Story” will be shown Saturday, July 1, at 3 p.m. Winner of 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture, the film spans around a gang of Polish-American teenagers called the Jets in the slums of the upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, who compete with a rival gang of recently immigrated Puerto Ricans, the Sharks, to “own” the neighborhood streets.
