Community called on to ID counterfeit passer

The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office (JCSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who passed counterfeit money.

July 19, an unknown white male entered the Pricewise Store on U.S. Highway 90 in China. The male purchased lottery tickets and paid with a $50 bill, which was later discovered to be a counterfeit.

The male left the store, entered the passenger side of a black SUV and left the area.
