GPS tracks suspect to stolen ambulance

An Orange County man was arrested after GPS helped track a stolen ambulance from a Beaumont hospital on Aug. 18, reported the Beaumont Police Department (BPD).

According to BPD, officers responded to Baptist Hospital at 10:46 p.m. after a City Ambulance Service (CAS) vehicle was reported stolen. Using a GPS system, CAS tracked the vehicle to Bridge City.

BPD notified the Bridge City Police Department, with officers locating the ambulance and arresting Michael Paul Aslany, 38, of Orange. Aslany was transported to the Orange County Jail and the ambulance was returned to CAS.
