Sept. 11, Orange County officials released information that all evacuation orders in the area of FM 2802 and Texla Road had been lifted.

Fire crews continued to work in the area to cover hotspots, but all homes were safe to return to as of 1 a.m. The fire had burned 417 acres officially and was 75% contained on the news of the rescinding evacuation. Containment is not measured by how much fire is extinguished, but rather how much of a perimeter line crews established around the fire’s path of spread, officials further noted.

Orange County continues to remain under a burn ban.
