One of the best “rom-com” films to ever been produced, “Pretty Woman,” will be shown on the big screen during Classic Movie Night inside the Jefferson Theatre on Friday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.

Adult tickets are $6 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or at the venue, day of show.

From 1900, “Pretty Woman” centers around Hollywood prostitute Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts), and wealthy businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere). Vivian is hired to be Edward’s escort for several business and social functions, and their relationship develops during her week-long stay with him. The film’s title “Pretty Woman” is also based on the 1964 song, “Oh, Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison.

Roberts received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

The film saw the highest number of ticket sales in the country for a romantic comedy at $42,176,400. It went on to gross more than $463 million.

The film is Rated R and is 1 hour and 59 minutes.
