“Coco” is Disney/Pixar’s 2017 vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, as aspiring young musician named Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal) becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions. With inspiration from the Mexican holiday, “Day of the Dead,” the film received acclaim for its animation, voice acting, music, visuals, emotional story, and respect for Mexican culture and grossed more than $814 million. It received two awards at the 90th Academy Awards and was chosen Best Animated Film of 2017 by the National Board of Review. Rated PG, “Coco” is 1 hour and 46 minutes.
