‘Date Night’ at the Museum

Stop by the Stark Museum of Art, 712 Green Ave. in Orange, on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 5-7 p.m. for “Date Night at the Museum,” a special event offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the museum after-hours. Enjoy free passed appetizers and sangria from Free State Cellars while taking-in the museum’s atrium featuring Navajo weavings, bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington and Charles Marion Russell, and Dorothy Doughty’s porcelain American birds. Discover the world-renowned art collection on display in the galleries and celebrate the opening of the Second Annual College Juried Art Exhibition.

“Date Night at the Museum is such a fun way to explore all we have to offer at the Stark Museum of Art,” said Jennifer Dickinson, director of education at the Stark Museum of Art. “Be sure you don’t miss local artist Calvin Carter sketching in the galleries or the Second Annual College Juried Art Exhibition in the Community Art Gallery

Admission to this event is free through the generous support of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation.

Extend the evening by heading to the Lutcher Theater for the 2 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. performance of “Mean Girls,” with tickets available at lutcher.org.
