The popular Free Family Arts Day returns just in time for Mardi Gras season. Art activities will correlate with AMSET’s current exhibition, “Earlie Hudnall, Jr.: Homeward,” which on view through March 30. Children and their families will create unique artwork with activities including Drawing with Light, Camera & Film, Clay Sculptures, Mardi Gras Masks, Valentine’s Day Cookies, President’s Day Beards, and Temporary Tattoos. This helps establish an understanding of, and connection to, the many techniques used to create the artwork in AMSET’s main galleries and permanent collection. Complimentary punch will be provided and a concession stand serving ballpark-style food will also be available.
