Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas announced a record amount of monthly cash rewards for last month, with March also looking to be high-report collection, as well.

Seventeen rewards were approved for a total of $10,150 in February, according to Administrator/Campus Coordinator Jeremy Raley, who added that, on March 20, 21 rewards were presented to the Board of Directors, requesting $8,000.

Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas started out as Beaumont Crime Stoppers in November 1981. Over the years, it has expanded to cover Jefferson, Hardin and Orange counties and, in June 2023, Jasper County was added.

“The backbone of the program is the guarantee of anonymity for the person providing the tip. These tips can include any criminal act, wanted fugitive, school policy violation and the list goes on,” stated Raley. “In 2022, there were 1,663 tips received and, in 2023, a total of 2,094 received. Thank you to all the media partners for pushing out this important information that keeps our community safe.”

There are three ways to report a tip — (409) 833-TIPS, www.833tips.com or the P3TIPS app.

“Remember, you will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. If you see something, say something,” Raley added.
