SPORTS SHORTS: All State Football| Week of Feb. 2

The Padilla Poll Coaches released their 2022 All-State Football Team for Class 4A. Four Lumberton players were named to the Class 4A Division 1 all-state team including first-team defensive back, Carson Rea, and offensive lineman Gabe Hernandez, receiver Brady Fuselier, defensive lineman Brock Jackson and linebacker Jared Morgan, who were all tabbed second team.

Silsbee’s Dre’lon Miller and Jayron Williams were named to the 4A Division 2 All-State Team.

Miller was selected as a first-team all-state receiver and Williams as a second-team all-state linebacker.

In 3A Division 1, Orangefield’s Cameron Dischler was named as a second-team all-state running back.
