Former West Brook standout and Super Bowl Champion Earl Dotson will return to his hometown of Beaumont during Labor Day weekend to partake in “Hometown Week – Youth Engagement.”

Mae Jones Clark Elementary (3525 Cleveland St.) is the site of the Dotson meet-and-greet Saturday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where he will sign autographs and speak about his NFL experience as well as the launch of his new foundation.

After graduating from West Brook, Dotson played college football at Tyler Junior College then Texas A&M-Kingsville, where he was an All-American lineman and later enshrined into the Javelina Hall of Fame.

Dotson was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round in 1993 and went on to become one of the premier offensive linemen in Packer history. He played in two Super Bowls and earned a trophy at Super Bowl XXXI in 1997 when the Packers defeated New England, 35-21. He retired in 2002.
