A 28-year-old Ivanhoe man was arrested for indecency with a child (sexual contact), according to a press release from the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
Sheriff Bryan Weatherford reported that Elijah Alexander Stone was arrested Nov. 23 and bond was set at $50,000 by Justice of the Peace Ken Jobe.
According to the release, TCSO deputies investigated a report of indecency with a child after they were informed by the victim’s guardian. During the investigation, deputies gathered evidence, including written, recorded and verbal statements, along with text messages.
The evidence was presented to Jobe, who issued an arrest warrant for the suspect and search warrant for the suspect’s phone.
Stone was booked into the Tyler County Jail.
