Country band the Red Clay Strays will perform at the City of Beaumont’s first Sundown Summer Series concert at the Event Centre Lake in Downtown on Wed., June 9, at 6 p.m.

“It has been so energizing to have people back in the venues hosting their dance recitals, weddings, and galas. We are excited to bring back live entertainment and have several exciting shows scheduled this summer, with more to come,” said Emily Wheeler, Director of Event Services for the City of Beaumont. “This outdoor summer concert series is the perfect way to enjoy all the greatness our Downtown Lake area has to offer.”

This free outdoor summer concert series is the live music escape residents have been yearning for over the last year. Families are encouraged to picnic around the lake, enjoy the playground, visit the resident ducks and enjoy live music as the sun sets on our great city. Locally owned food trucks will be on site and concert goers can bring coolers, but no outside alcohol is allowed.

The Red Clay Strays are a country band from south Alabama with a sound as genuine as the dirt roads they grew up on. Their sound, with influences ranging from Johnny Cash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Waylon Jennings, Marshall Tucker and country Gospel among others, blurs the lines between country and Southern rock and brings an authenticity that is unique to the Red Clay Strays.

The Event Centre is located at 700 Crockett St. in downtown Beaumont.
