The Junior League of Beaumont is getting ready to dance the night away with its seventh annual fundraiser, “Dancing with the Stars of Southeast Texas,” on Friday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at the Beaumont Civic Center (701 Main St.).
This unique community building endeavor features local stars, who will perform dances choreographed by professional instructors from premier dance studios in the area. Each dancing duo promises an evening of entertainment while also raising funds for the Junior
League of Beaumont, whose primary mission is to promote volunteerism and develop the potential of women by supporting our community. The League supports Beaumont and surrounding areas through community projects that focus on self-esteem for youth, parenting skills, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
This year’s couples are April Tolbert and Andrew McClusky (iRule Dance), Sadé Chick and Everett Green (Ashland’s Affirming Arts Studio), Amy Peevey and Chris Kovatch (Thayer Dance Academy), Ines Alvidres and Nick Lampson (Bonnie Cokinos School of Dance), Kristine Banks Dahl and Donta Miller (Courtnie Mercer & Farren Morris), Courtney White and Chad Lapray (Exygon), Alli Doty and Elton Hollis (Lancaster Dance Academy) and Kathryn Messina and Morgan Walker (Marsha Woody Academy of Dance).
