The Symphony of Southeast Texas will perform Saturday, Oct. 15, inside the Julie Rogers Theatre to celebrate 50 years with the “Texas Country Reporter” with hosts Kelli and Bob Phillips.

Now in his 14th year with the symphony, Maestro Chelsea Tipton II will lead this unique program with select music representing Texas. It will feature a fascinating history tour, told through the special stories which Bob has collected in his 50 years of visiting unique towns. The concept for “A Texas Tribute: has been developed in partnership with The Dallas Winds, who have suggested musical selections for the evening. Texas composer, publisher, and Dallas Winds Staff Arranger David Lovrien has composed original music that will underscore the narrated portions of the event.

Tickets are $36-$78 and can be purchased online at sost.org.
