Fun in the spring sun

It was beautiful weather for Easter weekend and many local families gathered with loved ones and friends to celebrate the reason for the season. So many youngsters were able to play with baby chicks, hunt for pastel dyed eggs, enjoy a delicious brunch and even find the “Golden eggs” from the bountiful generosity of the Crenshaw family on Good Friday. On Saturday, D’awn and Jeff Beaver played host to their family as well as other close friends for an afternoon of confetti eggs, blow up bouncy houses, sidewalk chalk, piñata, Easter egg hunt and plenty of crawfish. Enjoying all the fantastic activities were Heather and Bobby Beaver with offspring Ben, Caroline and Lily Kate, Katie and Jeff  Beaver (with their children Margo, Gordon and Clyde), Lauren and Wilson Hawa, Mattie and John Beaver, Joseph Beaver and Quinn Zulkowski, Pris and Bob LeJeune, Cathy Beaver, Ellen and William Estes, Kim and David Perkins, Julie Toups, Cathy and John Hawa, Allison and Will Darling, Julie and John Fontenot, who came in from Kerrville, Bill Martin, who made the trip from College Station, and Lori Reeves made the drive from Austin. Nothing better than family and friends on a meaningful holiday weekend!

B-day fun… Dynasy Phelan turned a fabulous 50 over the weekend and her family convened in several places to celebrate this ray of sunshine. One party was held at JW’s Patio on Friday, which was hosted by her sister Fantasy Reynolds and sister-in-laws Keili Smith, Cammy and Michelle Phelan, Mattie Beaver, Kim Phelan and Jennifer Phelan, as well as mom Belinda Hickman and mother-in-law Janey Phelan. The ladies had so much fun celebrating the honoree in style by showing their love for her with the theme, “50 things We Love About Dynasy.” Her children Julia, Cameron, Bridget, Michael and Cullen were there to help their marvelous mom blow out the candles on the cake. There was even a memory photo board of Dynasy that showed memories of her 50 years. Saturday afternoon many of this group headed to the beach for a crawfish boil, water slide, baby ducklings, activities, dying Easter eggs and family fun.

NRF coronation and ball photos next week! What a moment!
