A perfect pairing

Lamar University hosted their 10th annual Pairings fundraiser, which benefits the Dishman Art Museum. This unique viticultural event featured a five-course dinner paired with the original wines of Silver Oak. The enchanting fundraiser was a brainchild of Roy Steinhagen, who co-chaired with his wife Kim and Lee Ann and Terry Garth. Once again, the affair was sold out to underwriters, who bought full tables and have attended year after year. What a true testimony to a successful fundraiser! Tiffany Frazier, the Southwest Regional Sales Manager for Silver Oak, was the guest speaker. Guests included Whitney Neighbors (granddaughter of Kate and Herb Dishman), Patti and Floyd McSpadden, Melody and Pat Parsons, Kim and Charles Giglio, Diane and Don Shaver, Vivian and Coffy Pieternelle, Chuck Mazoch, Leslie and Bill Wilson, Sherry and Jeff Branick, Stephanie and Bernie Daleo, Denise and Mark Smith, Paige Windham, Cullen Ramsey, Jeff Spoeri, Melissa and Martin Edwards and Doug Fair, just to name a few. The funds raised through this event support the exceptional exhibitions and programs of the Dishman. Most recently, the museum exhibited a solo show of selected photographs from the renowned photographer Keith Carter’s upcoming book, “Ghostlight.” The current exhibition includes paintings and works on paper by Marvin Hayes, Lynn Sweat, Maudee Carron, Allie “Bill” Skelton and Paul Manes.
