A feathery evening
Last Friday evening was a successful culmination of the 35th Art Museum of Southeast Texas “Fashion with Fathers” Gala chaired by Julie Casanova and Gerald Farha along with committee members Kit Ohmstede, Camille Ohmstede, Janey and Michelle Phelan and yours truly. Guests enjoyed a signature cocktail and bidding on the inventive silent auction items, before entering the main room of the museum for dinner. During this time Jane and Joe Bob Kinsel, Keely and Craig Kinsel and Greg Busceme were honored for their contribution to the arts. A lively auction conducted by Scott Droddy raised a substantial amount of charity for the museum. Making magical music... Paula Bothe has made so many Southeast Texans happy with her creative direction of “The Music Man.” With a two-week sold-out performance, the Beaumont Community Players are thrilled with the success of this musical. Shout to outstanding cast members Chad Illa-Petersen, Jo Fuller, tom rodman, Landis Buckner, GiGi Mondello, Nancy Beaulieu, Shep Flatten, BJ Sanchez, Chase Mason, Emma Brown, Wayne Wise, Austin Wise, Leyni Illa-Peterson, Celia Crittenden, Tim Foster, Peyton Hanna, Lauren Mason, Angel Suitt, Brandon Rhodes and so many other talented thespians!
Afternoon tea… Another elegant afternoon as Symphony League of Beaumont 2022 Debutantes were celebrated at the Past Presidents’ Tea at the Downtown Event Centre on Sunday afternoon. The young ladies were presented to family and friends and escorted by their mothers. Sarah Frasher and Katherine Messina did an outstanding job with the décor and the amazing refreshments.
Check out… “Ghostlight,” the latest collection from award-winning photographer Keith Carter. It is an exploration of dark waters and otherworldly spirits of swamps marshes, bogs, baygalls and bayous. The exhibition features highlights from Carter’s upcoming monograph titled “Gaslight,” which is scheduled for release later this fall by the University of Texas Press. All of this glamour can be viewed at the Dishman art Museum.

Storkmarketing…Whitney and Zach Stiles welcomed a new addition to their family – Murphy Reed Stiles, who weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 inches long. Congrats!
