Alabama men arrested with meth and money

Jan. 17, at 11:01 a.m., Beaumont police officers working westbound on IH-10 near the 837-mile marker, stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, uncovering a large amount of drugs and money in the process.

According to BPD, officers located and seized approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately $17,000 in United States currency.

Two Alabama men – Jeffrey Ryan Clark, 26, and Melvin Donald Kidd, 66, – were transported to the Jefferson County Jail and each booked in for possession of a controlled substance – a second-degree felony.
