Alleged shooter takes victim to hospital

Just before 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) officers responded to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in reference to a woman who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

According to a news release, officers learned that the woman was allegedly shot several times by her ex-boyfriend after the two got into an argument. As the argument escalated, the man drove the victim to a secluded area in the 2500 block of 25th Street and began assaulting her. 

He then shot her multiple times, according to police, before he took her to the hospital and fled the scene.
