Beaumont Chamber names economic chair

The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Chair and Past-Chair, Rebekah Maxwell and Josh Smith, announced that Chris Fisher, Port of Beaumont President and CEO, has agreed to Chair the Chamber’s Economic Development Division for this fiscal year, which began on Oct. 1. The Chamber’s Economic Development Division will focus on recruiting new businesses, helping existing businesses grow and expand, working on developing the talent pipeline, and assisting in helping launch new start-ups and micro businesses.

“Chris brings a wealth of contacts, relationships, and know-how to the table,” Maxwell said. “We are fortunate to have Chris in our community and involved in the Chamber.”
