Beaumont confirmed 50 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths Jan. 22, according to data from the city's Public Health Department.

According to data from the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Jefferson County confirmed 45 new cases and four new deaths Jan. 22. Hardin County confirmed 13 new cases and three deaths, while Orange County reported a drop in total cases from Jan. 21 to 22, from 3,421 to 3,383. Orange County reported one death Jan. 22.

Physicians suggest residents purchase a pulse oximeter to monitor oxygen saturation. If that level drops below 92, immediate medical attention should be sought.
