Beaumont early voting ends today

Early voting closes today at 7 p.m. in Beaumont's mayoral runoff election, with 11,680 ballots already cast.

Election Day is set for Saturday, June 19, and voters can choose between four polling locations. Registered voters can cast their vote for businessman Roy West or former Beaumont City Councilwoman Robin Mouton by visiting the Beaumont Courthouse at 1085 Pearl St., the Rogers Park Recreation Center at 6540 Gladys Ave., Theodore Johns Library at 4255 Fannett Road or the John Paul Davis Community Center at 3580 E. Lucas Dr. 

As of June 15, 11,680 Beaumont voters have cast early ballots, with Rogers Park collecting 6,296 votes, Theodore Johns Library hosting 2,102 votes, John Paul Davis Community Center counting 1,379 votes and the county courthouse tabulating 516 votes in seven days of early voting. 

Voters will be required to show at least one form of Texas identification. The seven acceptable forms of photo ID include a Texas driver license, election ID certificate, personal ID card, handgun license, U.S. citizenship certificate, U.S. Military ID or U.S. passport.

Beaumont voters will have 14 polling locations to choose from on Election Day June 19, with options including Amelia Elementary, Beaumont Municipal Airport, BISD Administration Building, Dishman Elementary, O.C. Mike Taylor Career Center, Rogers Park Community Center, Roy Guess Elementary, Alice Keith Park Recreation Center, Charlton-Pollard Elementary, Jefferson County Courthouse, MLK Middle School, John Paul Davis Community Center, Sterling Pruitt Center and Theodore Johns Library.
