Beaumont Heights homicide

Update, Feb. 7 at 2:56 p.m. : The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Kedrian Deshawn Perkins, who was arrested Feb. 4 after a murder warrant was placed on him for his arrest. 

As of Feb. 7, Perkins is currently residing in the Jefferson County Jail with a bond set at $1,000,000. 

Minutes before midnight Sunday, Jan. 30, Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers responded to a fatal shooting at the Beaumont Heights apartment complex on the corner of Dowlen Road and Phelan Boulevard.

According to a BPD news release, EMS pronounced the victim, identified as 31-year-old Beaumonter Isaiah Brandon Wagner, dead at the scene.
