Beaumont PD investigating dead body found at Beaumont CVB

Beaumont Police Department detectives are investigating a deceased person on Monday, March 4.

At 7:59 am, BPD officers responded to 505 Willow Street in reference to a deceased person sitting up against the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Building.

Detectives responded and the investigation is on-going. Justice of the Peace Ben Collins ordered an autopsy.

The victim has not been identified at this time.

According to BPD, the incident is not being treated as a homicide at this time.

Detectives said they will know more after the autopsy.
