Beaumont United wins UIL 5A state basketball championship

Junior Terrance Arceneaux not only scored a game-tying three point basket to send the Class 5A UIL state championship into overtime, he also delivered the game winner. Down 70-68 to Dallas Kimball, Arceneaux scored his 24th point with :03 left to help lead Beaumont United to a state title victory March 11 in the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Arceneaux was also named the 5A state championship MVP.

The Timberwolves finish the season 31-0.
