Buckstin Brewing plans Beaumont establishment

A Nederland brewery is looking to expand into Beaumont, according to a proposal set to appear before the city council at its April 26 meeting.

Buckstin Brewing Company founder Gabrielle Blanco has applied for a specific use permit that would allow her to establish a brewpub at 6280 Phelan Blvd. in the Colonnade Shopping Center. According to the application, half of the suite would be used to produce beer and half would be a family friendly restaurant. The Beaumont Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 at its April 18 meeting to recommend approval for the specific use permit.
